Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how cancellation and refunds work for services we are instructed to provide. No payment is taken through this website; fees are agreed in writing and invoiced separately.

Last updated: September 2026

Draft for review. This policy has been prepared as a working draft and has not yet been approved by the firm's solicitors. It is published here so it can be reviewed, and should not be relied on as the firm's final position.

Before work starts

If you instruct us and then change your mind before any substantive work has been carried out, you may cancel and receive a refund of anything paid, less any costs we have already and unavoidably incurred on your behalf.

Cancellation rights for consumers

Where you engage us as a consumer at a distance, you may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days. If you ask us to begin work within that period, you may be charged for the work done up to the point you cancel. Your engagement terms will set this out in full.

Once work is under way

Our services are delivered in stages. Where work has been performed — a strategy session held, a review delivered, a dossier drafted — the fee for that stage is earned and is not refundable.

If you cancel mid-engagement, we will account for the stages completed and refund the balance of any fee paid in advance for stages not yet started.

Fees we cannot refund

Home Office application fees, including the endorsement fee and the visa fee, which are paid to the Home Office and are not refunded if an application is unsuccessful.

The immigration health surcharge, which is refunded by the Home Office in defined circumstances only and never by us.

Third-party costs already incurred: translations, courier charges, biometric appointment fees and similar.

Refused applications

A refusal does not automatically entitle you to a refund of our fees, because the fee pays for the work of preparing and presenting the case rather than for a result. Where a specific service is offered with a re-application commitment, that commitment and its conditions will be stated in your engagement terms.

Missed appointments

Please give us reasonable notice if you need to move a consultation. Repeated short-notice cancellations may be charged for, and your engagement terms will say so if they are.

How to request a refund

Email info@ukglobaltalent.uk setting out what you are asking for and why. We will respond within 10 working days. If you are unhappy with the outcome, our complaints procedure applies.
